Orthofix Honors Juneteenth / Freedom Day
We would like to take a moment to commemorate Juneteenth, a day of profound significance in American history. On this day in 1865, the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, received the news of their liberation, marking the official end of slavery in the United States.
Juneteenth is celebrated in many ways, such as attending festivals, parades, family gatherings, and supporting Black-owned businesses. Today, people across the nation are coming together to acknowledge our country’s history and the impact of that history.
As an organization, Orthofix is committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and equality, and respect for all. We believe that our differences make us stronger and that every individual deserves to be valued and respected and has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.
Wishing you a meaningful Juneteenth.
