Posterior Cervical Fixation
Posterior cervical fusion (PCF) is a surgical procedure designed to stabilize the cervical spine and alleviate pain through a posterior (back of the neck) approach. The procedure fuses two or more vertebrae, creating an internal brace that stops movement between the fused segments. This stabilization helps align the cervical spine, prevent the progression of spinal deformities, reduce painful motion, relieve spinal cord compression, and slow further degeneration.
Orthofix offers innovative instruments, implants, and types of fixation specifically cleared for performing posterior cervical fusion surgery in patients and holding the vertebrae in position to add immediate stability and help promote fusion.
