Carolyn Griesemer has a long history of scoliosis that progressed over time and eventually led to significant pain and functional limitations. After exploring several treatment options, she worked with orthopedic spine surgeon Greg Mundis, MD, an orthopedic spine surgeon, to pursue a surgical approach that addressed her symptoms while preserving mobility.
Carolyn underwent two spine surgeries nearly a decade apart. Following both procedures, her physician recommended bone growth therapy using the SpinalStim device to support spinal fusion during recovery. The device became part of her prescribed postoperative routine.
Over time, imaging confirmed successful fusion after each surgery. Carolyn was able to return to daily activities, travel, and physical exercise, reporting relief from the pain that had previously limited her quality of life.
