Orthofix Recognizes Jewish American Heritage Month.

May is Jewish American Heritage Month, a time to reflect on the contributions and rich history of the Jewish people of our nation. The Jewish American experience is a story of faith, fortitude, and determination. Jewish culture and history go back centuries in America, with Jewish people establishing communities and businesses long before the nation’s founding in 1776.

This month is an opportunity for Jewish Americans to celebrate their roots and for non-Jewish people to learn more about the experiences, culture, and achievements of Jewish Americans. It’s also a time to reflect on the history of persecution and discrimination the Jewish community has faced.

The Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History now leads the nationwide Jewish American Heritage Month effort. As its President and CEO Dr. Misha Galperin has said, their goal is “to build community, inspire Jews and non-Jews alike, and challenge antisemitic beliefs.”

We encourage everyone to take time this month to learn more about Jewish American heritage and deepen connections with the Jewish community.
