Orthofix Celebrates LGBTQ+ PrideMonth!
Orthofix is happy to celebrate LGBTQ Pride Month! In the U.S., Pride Month is recognized during the month of June, although Pride parades are celebrated around the world at different times. June was designated to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan which was a tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement in the U.S. The purpose of the commemorative month is to honor and recognize the impact that lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer individuals have had on history. In addition to parades and celebrations, Pride Month activities also include memorials for those members of the community who lost their lives to hate crimes or HIV/AIDS.
Moving 4ward — our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiative — is committed to fostering a culture at Orthofix where all employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to bring their whole selves to work.
Below are a few photos from last year’s Pride Month bake sales, which raised funds for The Trevor Project.
