TL-HEX
TrueLok Hexapod System
TL-HEX TrueLok Hexapod System™
TL-HEX is a hexapod external circular fixation system developed at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC) in Dallas, Texas, US. It consists of hardware and associated software for simplified deformity correction and trauma management. TL-HEX will support fracture fixation, limb lengthening, treatment of non-union and deformity corrections in long bones in both adult and pediatric patients.
Key Features
Six-Strut Hexapod Design
Six adjustable struts enable precise three-dimensional correction of angulation, translation, rotation and limb length discrepancies through acute or gradual adjustments.
Software-Guided Planning
Proprietary planning software generates a patient-specific adjustment schedule to support gradual deformity correction throughout treatment.
Multiplanar Correction
Supports simultaneous correction of angulation, translation, rotation, and length discrepancies without repeated frame reconstruction.
Built on the TrueLok Platform
Combines the proven stability and modularity of the TrueLok Ring Fixation System with advanced hexapod technology for complex limb reconstruction.
Simplified Treatment Workflow
An integrated hardware and software solution designed to simplify deformity correction from pre-operative planning through final alignment.
Modular Compatibility
Compatible with the comprehensive portfolio of TrueLok rings, fixation components, and accessories, allowing surgeons to configure constructs for a wide range of clinical applications.
Treatment Workflow
TL-HEX supports surgeons throughout the entire correction process, from pre-operative planning to final bone alignment. Guided software planning helps transform complex deformity analysis into a structured and reproducible workflow.
Step 1
Analyze the Deformity
Patient anatomy and deformity parameters are evaluated using radiographic measurements.
Step 2
Develop a Treatment Plan
The TL-HEX module in the OrthoNext software calculates the correction strategy and generates an individualized adjustment schedule.
Step 3
Perform Gradual Correction
Six adjustable struts are lengthened or shortened according to the prescribed schedule.
Step 4
Achieve Alignment
Gradual multiplanar correction is completed while maintaining frame stability throughout treatment.
